Boiling – Dyeing
Dyed eggs are not just for Easter. All year round, our machines at the egg dyeing facility in Ospel produce pre-boiled eggs that are dyed to create a number of patterns. The Netherlands’ largest professional egg dyeing facility also dyes eggs for carnival and Halloween.
The eggs that are dyed in our egg dyeing facility in Ospel are sorted to guarantee that they are M-sized after rigorous checks for cracks and hairline fractures. The eggs we dye are generally laid by young hens, as they lay eggs that have thicker, harder shells compared with those of older hens. The dyeing facility applies the dye to the eggs by either rolling or spraying them. By spray-dyeing eggs, we are able to create multiple patterns. Customers can choose from a number of packaging and sorting options, from a half dozen of eggs dyed in a single colour, to a half dozen in different colours, or a random assortment. The packaging containers are packed in boxes, put onto pallets, and distributed to customers based in the Netherlands or abroad. We dye barn, free-range, cage, and organic eggs.
